The Air Handling Unit (AHU) produced by DamaTajhiz is designed and manufactured with an airflow capacity range of 2500 CFM to 50000 CFM in various models, including single-zone and multi-zone (multi-zone) configurations in horizontal, vertical, and L-shaped designs.

1. Fan 

• The main component of the air handling unit includes a mixed heating and cooling coil, used as a cooling coil (in summer) and a heating coil (in winter) and equipped with air-passing fins that prevent the entry of dust and airborne particles.

• The fan in the DT-AHU-30 model Damatajhiz air handling unit is made from aluminum with specific design angles for optimal (quiet) performance and is of the backward or forward type, customizable based on customer order and preference.

2. Electromotor

 • The only moving component inside the air handling unit is the electromotor. Damatajhiz air handling units use high-quality electromotors from German and European brands, providing high durability and longevity, which operate efficiently with low electricity consumption and reliable operation for a long service life. 

• According to customer requirements, the air handling unit can be equipped with an adjustable-speed electromotor with an RPM range from 1450 to 2900 for precise and efficient operation. (For units requiring minimal speed, Damatajhiz recommends air handling units with CAV systems, while for variable speed requirements, VAV systems are suggested.)

3. Painting 

• In the design and construction of Damatajhiz air handling units, a high-quality anti-corrosive paint is applied, with complete coverage to ensure long-term reliability of the unit. 

4. Main Structure 

• The main structure of the 3000cfm DT-AHU-30 Damatajhiz air handling unit is constructed from aluminum profiles with anti-rust, anti-yellowing, and adhesive properties to ensure full structural integrity. 

5. Sound Reduction and Quiet Operation

6. Device Body:

 • One of the essential features of Damatajhiz air handling units is the type of filter used and the necessity of supplying air that is free of any germs and dust for individuals, making the AHU system of utmost importance. 

• The Damatajhiz air handling unit has two filter systems: a pre-filter and a main filter. The pre-filter is generally made of aluminum and is designed to filter out large particles and dust. The main filter can be ordered with different efficiencies depending on the requirements. 

• This filter can be washable and has various characteristics.

8. Panel Filter: 

• One of the most important features of the device is the use of panel filters.

 • As the second stage, panel filters are used in air conditioning units and air handling units. 

9. Bag Filter: 

• The Damatajhiz air handling unit, with all its options, is equipped with a bag filter as the last stage filter.

10. Applications:

11. Coil:

 • One of the essential parts of Damatajhiz air handling units is the coils. The cooling and heating coils of the AHU device are designed with aluminum fins and copper pipes, which improve the heat exchange. 

• The number of rows and fins per inch (FPI) in the coils determines the AHU capacity, and engineers can determine the appropriate number of rows and fin spacing based on air pressure and flow. 

• The primary surface of the coils is made of copper tubes with high durability, and aluminum or copper fins can be chosen based on the customer’s request.

12. Control Equipment:

 • To control and precisely manage the humidity level of the Damatajhiz air handling unit, various control and monitoring devices are used. 

• Specific requirements of AHU systems can be provided as custom-built devices.

13. Fan Motor:

14. Water Valve:

16. Differential Pressure Switch:

20. Dampers: 

• The air dampers are aluminum blades with an airfoil shape that are positioned in opposite directions. Their function is to control and adjust the percentage of fresh air volume and its mixture with the return air to the AHU. 

• To enable the rotation and operation of the damper, durable polypropylene gears are used. Additionally, the damper edges are fully sealed with high-quality seals to prevent air leakage. Upon the customer’s request, a damper motor can also be installed on the AHU’s air dampers.

21. Access Door:

• To facilitate easy and secure access to the AHU’s interior space for routine inspections and periodic maintenance, as well as for potential relocation and repairs, an inspection door with a hinge and handle made of polypropylene with complete air sealing is installed on all DamaTajhiz AHUs.

Installation Considerations for Air Handling Unit

  •  It is necessary to provide a drain in the AHU room for cleaning and periodic maintenance.
  •  After installing the AHU, it is essential to use anti-vibration rubber or polystyrene to prevent vibration transmission from the AHU to the surrounding foundation. 
  •  To allow for potential coil replacement over a long operational period, according to engineering standards, a space equivalent to 1.5 times the width of the device should be left on one side of the installation area.
