  • The cooling tower works by evaporating a portion of circulating water to cool it down. The cooled water is then collected in the basin at the bottom and pumped back to the chiller or industrial process.
  • For HVAC applications, the design of cubic cooling towers is based on inlet/outlet water temperatures and an ambient wet bulb temperature of 23–24 °C.
  • The minimum outlet water temperature depends on the site’s wet bulb temperature during summer. Typically, the outlet water is about 2.5–3 °C higher than the local wet bulb. For example, in Muscat with a 23.8 °C wet bulb, the cooled water temperature will be around 26 °C.

  • The 100-ton cubic fiberglass cooling tower comes with two layers of Net Splash fill packs.
  • The fill sheets are corrugated and arranged in a honeycomb pattern with sinusoidal grooves, ensuring no clogging and enabling maximum heat transfer by creating thin water films and larger contact surfaces with air. They are made of PP with a 400-micron antibacterial coating (FDA approved) and usually designed with a 19-mm step Net Splash type.

Generally, for towers up to 2.5 meters in height, approximately 0.1 m² of space per ton of cooling is required per 50 m² of building floor area. For towers taller than 2.5 meters, the requirement increases to 0.12 m² per ton per 50 m² of building floor area.
