- As air flows inside the cubic cooling tower and water circulates, some water always evaporates. After cooling the water, it collects in the basin at the bottom of the unit and is pumped to the chiller or production process.
- In general, cubic cooling towers for HVAC in Tehran are designed based on an entering water temperature of 95 °F (ca. 35 °C), leaving water temperature of 85 °F (ca. 29 °C), and ambient wet-bulb temperature (W.B.T.) of 75 °F (ca. 24 °C).
- The minimum outlet water temperature depends on the ambient wet-bulb temperature at the installation site during summer. Normally, the cooling tower water is 2.5–3 °C higher than the local wet-bulb temperature. For example, in Tehran, where the summer wet-bulb temperature is 23.8 °C, the cooled water temperature is typically around 26 °C.
- The DamaTajhiz 400-Ton Cubic Fiberglass Cooling Tower is an induced draft type (DRAFT INDUCED), allowing air circulation either naturally or forced. Forced draft is achieved using an AXIAL fan located on top of the tower.

- All casing parts of the DamaTajhiz cubic cooling tower, including the 400-ton fiberglass cubic model, are made from reinforced fiberglass, offering high durability and UV resistance with two external protective layers.
- Casing and basin components are easily assembled for annual maintenance. Secondary connections are made from non-metallic materials like PRC, FRP, ABS, or stainless steel or aluminum.
- Fibers: The base fibers used in DamaTajhiz cooling tower fiberglass parts are woven or mesh type, with needle fibers added to enhance structural strength.
- Resin: The base resin used in DamaTajhiz cooling tower fiberglass parts is unsaturated polyester, isophthalic type, BKC brand, ISO9001 certified by SGS, resin code 2200.

- The packing sheets of DamaTajhiz cubic fiberglass cooling towers are corrugated and stacked in a honeycomb pattern. The groove steps are sinusoidally designed to prevent clogging and create a proper water film for fast evaporation and maximum heat transfer. The packings are usually film type, step 19, made of PVC with antibacterial coating and pharmaceutical grade (FDA approved) at 400 microns thickness, or splash/random splash type made of P.P., pharmaceutical grade, antibacterial, 500 microns thick.
- To reduce drift (water droplet emission) from the top of the DamaTajhiz 400-Ton Cubic Fiberglass Cooling Tower, PP eliminators are installed above the nozzles. They are blade type and reduce water droplet discharge to less than 0.002% of circulating water.

Cubic Cooling Tower Water Distribution System
- In the DamaTajhiz 400-Ton Cubic Fiberglass Cooling Tower, inlet water enters the distribution nozzles through central polyethylene or PVC pipes and is evenly sprayed over the tower packings. (Nozzle selection varies depending on the local climate and customer requirements.)

- The support legs of DamaTajhiz cooling towers are made of hot-dip galvanized steel.
- DamaTajhiz cubic cooling towers comply with O.S.H.R mandatory standards. Hot-dip galvanized ladders are installed for access to mechanical and electrical components on the tower.
- The fan stack support frame is made of 6 mm thick galvanized sheet, and fan guard meshes are made of hot-rolled iron with zinc coating ranging from 83 to 110 microns. Motor support frames are hot-dip galvanized angle iron.
- Panel holders, tower floor frames, external supports, and external holding supports are made of hot-dip galvanized iron with 200-micron zinc coating.
Eliminator or Drift Eliminator
- To reduce drift or water droplet discharge from the top of the 400 TR Cubic Fiberglass Cooling Tower from DamaTajhiz, PP eliminators are installed at the top of the nozzles. They are of blade type and reduce droplet discharge to less than 0.002% of circulating water.
Cooling Tower Fan Components
- Fan Blade: The fan blades in DamaTajhiz counter-flow cooling towers are made of fiberglass reinforced plastics, offering higher chemical and physical stability compared to aluminum blades. The smooth surface minimizes air friction, reducing air resistance. Isophthalic resin and high-quality fibers are used in production.
- Fan Arm: This part connects the blade to the hub and is made of galvanized carbon steel.
- Fan Hub: Made of ductile cast iron in a coupling form, allowing easy assembly of the fan blades.
- Bolts and Nuts: Dry bolts and nuts with high resistance are used. In corrosive or acidic environments, stainless steel fasteners are applied.
Inverter or Variable Speed System
- Upon ordering and purchasing an industrial cubic cooling tower with an inverter system installed in the tower control panel, fan and motor speed can be adjusted to precisely control the outlet water temperature. (For inverter installation, a separate control panel is required.)
- The inverter frequency is controlled by a sensor within a defined temperature range. The inverter changes frequency while the motor power remains constant. If outlet water temperature is not critical, a thermostat can control motor start/stop.

Required Installation Space for Cooling Tower
All cooling towers must be installed outdoors and exposed to direct free airflow. Adequate unobstructed space around the tower is necessary to ensure fresh air supply. Hot air from the tower must be discharged in a way that prevents recirculation, as recirculated air increases wet bulb temperature and keeps outlet water warm.
In general, for towers up to 2.5 m height, 0.1 m² per ton of cooling is required per 50 m² of building useful area. For towers taller than 2.5 m, 0.12 m² per ton of cooling per 50 m² of useful building area is recommended.
Transport and Installation of Cooling Tower
- If the diameter of the purchased cubic fiberglass cooling tower exceeds 250 cm, it is recommended to transport the tower in separate pieces to avoid damage during transport. Final assembly at the project site is done at an additional cost.
- If it is not possible to transport the tower as a single piece to the installation site or roof, please order the tower as separate (demontage) pieces.
